Iphone battery replacement
Has anyone replaced their battery due to the offer they have? I feel mine is running terribly slow. I got locked out of my phone last year and after leaving Apple store, battery was never the same. I have an iphone 6. Had thoughts of upgrading but thought this might help to get the battery replaced

I haven’t but want to. I also have an iPhone 6. Hesitant to do it right now as I just read an article that a lot of people are making appointments and the stores are out of stock but don’t tell them till they show for the appt. Here is article: Article

Oh wow! I know of a few people that made appointments. do you know how long is this offer good for the reduced price?

Oh wow! I know of a few people that made appointments. do you know how long is this offer good for the reduced price?
I don’t know, but I’m gonna assume it’s not going away anytime soon now that Apple is being sued. I really hate this! Every day there is some new glitch with the damn phone. Today my battery life icon won’t show unless the phone is locked. I’m getting really sick of all this (phone freezes to take a pic, in the middle of sending a text, text just automatically closes, and a million other things).

This is exactly what is happening to me! It has gotten worse lately too for no reason. Even sometimes typing a text, nothing happens, freezes.

My DH has a samsung. Every day, my iphone 6 drops the wifi connection while his stays. Every day!

I read that you can get this offer until December 2018.

No, I typed the wrong thing. Sorry. I meant I couldn’t get an appointment for this week and the apple system wouldn’t let me make an appointment past this week (for next week). The offer is definitely good for awhile. I just want my damn phone to work already.

So I wanted to post an update. I ordered a battery replacement in January through Apple over the phone. Received an email confirmation and was told and emailed it would be 2 weeks. It was about a month.
Got an email Friday that battery was in (I had it sent to Manhasset) and that I had 2 weeks to go to the store to have to replaced (no appt needed). I went to store yesterday at 3pm. Was told yes they have it on reserve for me and there were 20 phones ahead of me for replacement and come back in 3 hours. So I went back in that snow and got it!
My phone has not been freezing at taking a pic or sending a message however I noticed a huge battery drain now. I went to bed last night and my phone was at 75% and this morning it was dead. That has never happened to me before. I googled it and basically shut off a million things on my phone. I am so annoyed right now. Never had to do this before. We will see what happens. I am really hating Apple right now.

I had the iphone for years and finally got fed up with all of the glitches. I now have a Samsung Galaxy s8 and love it. IMO, Samsung is a better quality phone. Have you ever thought about switching?

You can walk into any store without an appt. How long . you will wait will totally depend.
They will first run a diagnostic on your phone. If it is indeed a battery issue, they will likely have to order a new battery for you. Then you need to go back and have them fix it.
I waited 20 mins for the diagnostic in the city since I didn't have an appt and that was current wait time.
Then I waited 2 weeks for the battery to come in
I went right when it opened and dropped off my phone - it was ready in an hour.
There's an apple store near my work so it wasn't that big of a hassle really.
It's helped a lot. My phone was going from 30/40% full to shutting down in 2 mins. I was constantly charging it. I almost got stranded at JFK waiting for an uber and that was the last straw. Now its back to charging once a day.

They ran a diagnostic for me over the phone and they said they didn’t see a battery issue but I was still entitled to the battery replacement so I had them order it. I said I don’t know if it’s the battery but my phone would completely shut in the middle of sending a text about 2x daily, I couldn’t text more than 2 people at the same time or my phone would freeze, I could only take 1 picture, if I went to take a 2nd picture, my phone would freeze, the list goes on and on. The rep said hmmm I’m not sure but your phone is 2 years old. I said so??? So what it’s basically useless now and I should throw it out???
