Playmobil Toys
DS received the Playmobil Ghostbusters HQ from my aunt and uncle who live OOS. It took FOREVER to put together! Every tiny little piece, every sticker, had to be assembled. Are all Playmobil toys like this? DS was so excited to receive it, but this was his first Playmobil toy he's ever received so I wasn't sure if they were all like this. Also, a head's up to anyone who's child asked for it, it's a PIA to put together!

Playmobil Toys
My son wanted the Firehouse- not Ghostbusters one. It's not even that big but had a lot to assemble. He loves it though. I hope we can keep track off all the small pieces.

Playmobil Toys
My son has a ton of playmobil toys and yes they all have a lot of pieces. He is getting the ghost busters hq for xmas from a family member. Not looking forward to putting that together. But i have ti say, he loves playing with the playmobil stuff. As much of a PITA it is to put together, itnwill keep him busy playing for a couple of hours.

Re: Playmobil Toys
My DS has lots of playmobil toys. While they do tend to have lots of parts and stickers, etc., I actually find if kinda fun to put together. My DS is 4 and is used to putting together LEGO sets, so we do the setup for the playmobil sets together. I show him the picture of the part I need, he finds it.... We admittedly don’t have the Ghostbusters set so maybe that’s worse than most? We have a large dragon boat (the first of our playmobil sets and the one that got us hooked), a zoo set, an extension to the zoo set, and a playground set. He also has a playmobil fire truck which is super cute, though that doesn’t require assembly.
What’s BAD in my opinion is anything from we’ve ever gotten from Kidkraft. It’s like an ikea project. I always want to be the one to put these things together because I enjoy that kinda thing, but by default anything from kidkraft goes to my husband to assemble!

Re: Playmobil Toys
They are great, beautiful and imaginative toys. We were at a play date with an antique dealer’s kid who whipped out such a bin of them!!! She swore they were the best quality toy out there.
My son (7) can assemble them. We have the rocket ship, ambulance, pyramid and some others I am forgetting. Like Lego, part of the fun is putting it together.
I think it would be tough for a 4 year old... though my daughter loved playing with the simpler sets at that age. The pieces really do get lost... be sure the have a bin for them!

Re: Playmobil Toys
Yup. My daughter has a few playsets by Playmobil. They do have a lot of pieces, but for us it's worth it because they are some of her favorite things to play with. We put all the small pieces in a Ziploc and the. Insert into the set when we put them away.
