Beachbody - please don’t move
Does it work? Currently it’s $99 for the year for the on demand and I’m wondering if the videos are good. I can’t decide if I should spend my money for a gym membership or try beach body.
I’m 5 months post partum, breastfeeding and feel like crap.

If you can commit to working out at home they are good. I prefer home workouts because I have no time to go to the gym

Anything works if you commit to it! There are enough videos on you tube that you do not have to purchase something. But, if you want it, go for it!

I personally love Jillian Michaels for home workouts. You can start with Begginner Shred and work your way up. And you can find the whole video on you tube for free too

Yes once i quit the gym this was what I started with and had more success with than i did at the gym.
I learned that 30 minutes with strength was more effective than 1 hour of cardio

The workouts are great, and not a big time commitment.
Just make sure the shakes/meal plan are providing enough calories for your nursing if you want to continue.

Re: Beachbody - please don’t move
Whatever you commit to is going to work. If you're someone who's going to go to the gym and just do an hour of cardio - then you're better of with the videos, at least you'll be using your muscles.
Real weight training and strategic cardio are the better workout on paper/scientifically, but if you don't know how, or arent going to get there, then do what you'll stick with.
You're going to feel better if you start moving. You're going to burn calories if you start moving. So if Beachbody gets you moving, then it's worth it.

I am a Nutritionist and I tell my patients that if they are ready and motivated and they follow my plan it will work. If they do it half*ss lol than no it won't work. Exercise (any) will benefit you and as long as u are eating right u will see benefits.

If it’s something you will commit to, you will see results.
I’m pretty into fitness and used to be a cardio junkie - running 45+ miles a week. Now I lift 3-4 days a week and run 2-3 days a week (mileage total 15-20). I’m in better shape post-kid than pre-kid and I spend way less time working out.
As a side note, I do not do well working out at home so I know it wouldn’t work for me.

There are a ton of different BB programs. Some better than others, imo. But there is something for everyone from beginner to advance and you can modify everything to make it more challenging or less. I LOVE the BB programs I've done. 21 day fix is a great one to start with, it's 30 minutes a day and you will see results if you follow the program. I like that it's a total body workout, incorparates strength and cardio, and I feel I get more burn than running on a treadmill for 30 minutes.
