Infant and Toddler Sharing Room
DS2 is now over the 6 month mark, and I'd love to get him out of our room. However, that means he has to share a room with DS1, who is 3 years old. Any advice on how to do the transition?
They're both good sleepers, but I don't know if we should put them to bed together (both take a little while to settle down), put one to bed and then the other (if so, in which order). Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

Infant and Toddler Sharing Room
My kids were pretty much the exact same ages when we did this. We tried every possibility and in the end what worked was putting them down together. They got used to hearing each other and falling asleep through the noise. We did use a white noise machine. They're 3 and 5.5 now and still one could scream at the top of their lungs and the other doesn't flinch which is nice.
ETA I did have to specifically tell dd1 not get upset if the baby cried. She learned that if she stayed quiet the baby usually stopped and went to sleep and if she didn't I would come get her.

Thank you! We're trying tonight. The infant is asleep, but we're keeping an eye on the baby monitor while we wait for the toddler to fall asleep. Fingers crossed! (I can't wait to get the pack n play out of our room.)
