Do you have a standard gift for people who are impossible to shop for?
I tend to go with a gift card to a restaurant near their home that they like. Everyone needs to eat, and if they don't like actually going out to eat, they could get take out or delivery instead.

My father in law is impossible but for the past year has been obsessed with shopping on Groupon. So we got him a Groupon gift certificate.

I usually do a restaurant gift certificate or one to the movies.
