I am so beyond excited for this. I live closeby (not too close, but within 5-10 mins), and I am so excited to have another event space so closeby.
Curious how others feel, especially those who live in the floral park area. I know the casino was a hot topic, so I am wondering what the consensus around town is about this?

All I know is I have to pass it on the SS and there's enough freaking traffic around there.

yes that is the only negative i see. hoping that since they will have the LIRR on more of a regular schedule through Belmont, that would help alleviate some of the traffic.
The people behind the proposal are working with the mets and msg, both of which are very successful. I am thinking the train stop/schedule would be similar to the one at citi field but idk. Either way, the coliseum is going to become nonexistent because of this lol

Super happy! So the plan is that the Belmont train station will become a full time station to help alleviate traffic.

Is there a sports team that plays there ?
The Cross Island Parkway will be even worse with traffic now.
