4 days in disney

I am contemplating on going to disney for four days in September with my boys who will be 10 and 4. Is this doable? Which parks would you do? I have never been and this is kinda an opportunity we might not get for a while!

For 4 full days, I might do 2 days magic kingdom, 1 day Hollywood studios, 1 day either animal kingdom or Epcot depending on which you're interested in. My favorite parks are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. We're driving back now. I don't really care for Epcot or Animal Kingdom, but we spent 8 days at Disney, so we went this time. How tall is your 4 year old? My 3 year old is only 38 inches, so there weren't many rides she could go on at Animal Kingdom. Epcot is just boring to me, but we went for Anna & Elsa and mostly met characters there. I think there are a couple of popular rides that we didn't do because of height. I'm guessing the boys like Star Wars - they can both do the Jedi training show at Hollywood Studios if you can get them signed up. My DD1 got to do it both days we were there. Not sure what you mean by doable, but even if I could only go to Magic Kingdom, it's a good trip. Don't feel like you have to squeeze in all the parks.

of course it is doable. I'd spend 1.5 full days in Magic Kingdom (they have the best everything - rides, shows, entertainment, etc.) and then 1.5 full days in Hollywood Studios (they have the star wars stuff and the toy story land) and 1 day in Animal Kingdom. I would skip Epcot on this trip.

Yes- I actually prefer the shorter (3 or 4 night) trips. After that I feel like it becomes overkill and we all get bored and "Disney'ed out". Our last trip was 3 nights/4 days, and we did 1.5 days at MK- one full day, one morning/early afternoon. We spent the late afternoon/evening of that day at Hollywood Studios. Full day at Epcot- but my family loves World Showcase. AK we did on our last day, we did all morning, had lunch at Tusker House, and then left to catch our flight home.

I’d also consider Universal with those ages... just depends on the height of your little one.
So, I’d do 2 days MK, 1 day Universal, 1 day pools and relax.
My kids are Disneyed out after 2 days. They do love it... but it loses its “wow” factor.
I wasn’t super impressed with the other parks... but that is clearly subjective.

IMHO, Hollywood Studios in its current state is 1/2 day park. Come September 2018, Toy Story Land should be completely open. Depending on whether or not your kids are interested in Toy Story, I might skip it altogether. Whenever something new opens it's a madhouse. Lines are excruciatingly long, and very little gets accomplished because of the amount of time spent standing around waiting.

That said, if your kids are into Toy Story and Star Wars, then by all means plan a day in Hollywood Studios. Definitely set aside two days for Magic Kingdom. Research EPCOT and Animal Kingdom and figure out which of the two would be of greater interest to your kids, then go there on the 4th day. Pandora is currently a madhouse at Animal Kingdom, but you can easily traverse the entire park and avoid that section altogether, or join in the crazy over there.

Yes we recently did a 4 day trip. We did 2 days MK, 1 day HS and the other day we had a wedding to go to, but if we had the day free we would have done Epcot.

I also didn't find that HS was a 1/2 day park, we spent the whole day there.

I spent 13 hrs in HS. Definitely not a half day park.

Re: 4 days in disney

We went for 3 days, and did MK one night, next day we did Animal Kingdom & Epcot in the same day, and Hollywood Studios the next day for the entire day from open to close.

We had more time on the 4th day before driving to Miami, and had the option of going to another park, but decided not too because that felt like enough. But in retrospect, I wish we went back to MK for an entire day.

Love Disney.
