Child Friendly Restaurant near Wicked

We are taking DS to an autism friendly performance of Wicked in February. Last year we took him to Blue Man Group, we did not eat, we went to Times Square. Now we are thinking about eating, not sure. But we know ZERO about the city. We need a place to go that's not too far and is child/autism friendly. It's going to be a long day for him, so long waits are not a good thing.
Any ideas?

Ellen's star dust diner is a great family friendly place but I am not sure if it will be too loud for him. They sing every couple of minutes ... the waiters and waitresses perform.

Almost everything near Times Square is child friendly unless you're going really upscale. Here are some ideas, some closer than others and some you could stop on the walk there/back:

Junior's
John's of Times Square
Carmine's
Schnippers
Shake Shack
Nizza
Potbelly
5 Napkin Burger

Ellen's is small, crowded, you are packed together in there, and the line is always at least 40 minutes long when we go there on a weekend. I would definitely skip that. I think Carmine's is a good option if you want a nicer place. My son (teen with autism) likes Bubba Gump's (I don't love the food...but he likes to go there). We actually just went to Hard Rock Café recently with my son and we enjoyed it. It was big, open not elbow to elbow with other tables, and the food was good surprisingly.

I would not suggest Ellen's Stardust at all...you have to wait online and it's crowded and loud. There is O'Lunney's right down the street...it's an Irish Pub.
