Hotel safety
Do you leave passport in room at a resort in mexico? Or carry at all times?

I’ve never been to Mexico, but whenever I travel with my passport, I put it in the safe.

It's probably safer in the safe in tbe room. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it in my bag when I went swimming etc

However, I do keep a copy of it and have it with me always on vacation.

We just got back from Mexico last night. Passports and jewelry stayed in the safe in the room.

This - I think it's important to have a copy on you if you go outside of the resort.
