Help Me Shop for Needy Family
I am shopping for a needy family at work. The girl is in 4th grade. The mother wrote her shirt size as an adult small or medium. I'm having trouble finding appropriate clothes for a 4th grader in that size. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could look? I don't want anything too mature looking. TIA!

Re: Help Me Shop for Needy Family
Shop the misses section in Kohl’s - they have cute shirts with characters on them or even just plain long sleeve sweater shirts
I usually wear a medium shirt but in misses, I’m a large. So what I would do is take an adult size medium and put it up against a misses size medium and large and compare. That way you get something age appropriate and the correct size. And of course include gift receipts with everything so she can exchange if need be

Re: Help Me Shop for Needy Family
Thanks ladies! I will check them out. I saw some stuff online at Target too in the Juniors section. The website said a medium in Juniors was like a small in adults.

Second the juniors section at Khols. My daughter is in 7th now, but she's 5'6" (...my kid is 4" taller than me...) & I have had the struggle of dressing her properly for a couple years now due to her height & mature shape. She can wear an adult small, but she does well in a juniors medium too. We can always find character tees & modest but cute tops at khols.
We also do very well for her at Target in the women's section. She recently found hoodies with Mickey Mouse & others with cute phrases that she adores. For a 4th grader needing a women's size, i definitely think you could do very well at Target.
NY&Co surprisingly has also served us well. She has some very appropriate items on her Christmas list. An XS or small fits her (from what the mother wrote I'd say a small for you) & she has found their lounge apparel to her liking & we've found her some cute sweaters & modest tops that she's worn very well.
Forever 21 is a fav for my daughter. It takes some looking through but even in 5th when she first got into them I found stuff appropriate for her.
