I just have to say...
I cannot believe I'm going away a week from Saturday NO KIDS! LOL!
I just started throwing things together and it's so weird to pack without the kids! DH and I have been away for a long weekend here and there, but never a flight away.
We are going to the Sectrets Akumal in Mexico. Adults AI with another couple.
The boys (8 and 6) will be at my parents for the week and they will take them to the bus stop since we live around the block from them.
Need some help...
I made a list for my parents for the boys regarding packing lunches, doctor info, etc.
I will bring them their fav foods and pack clothes making it easy for them by days (bc of gym days and sports stuff)
I'll give them their schedule regarding basketball, Hebrew school, etc.
Gave them our flight info
I don't even know what to pack for myself, but thinking sundresses for night, cover ups for during the day and a couple of workout clothes.
Need books (any suggestion is appreciated), mags, etc.
Anything else that I am forgetting that I should do, pack or anything with the kids my parents need to do or know)
Of course they're watching our dog too so will have her food, toys, Vet info, etc.
They are around the block if I forget something and can pretty much fig it out for themselves and my kids are old enough too that they can help.

What did you pack on your honey moon?
As for the kids, do your parent have keys to your home? If you forgot something they can get it since they are close by. Tell the kids to pack some favorite toys. Have fun.

Honeymoon? Like over 10 years ago. LOL
We do go away to islands with the kids, but I guess I am a little more conservative since I'll be sitting on the sand building sandcastles or having kids jump on me.
Now I can have fun with my clothes. LOL!
Good idea. Didn't think of toys. They will pack any stuffed animals of course and have had sleepovers before, but usually 2 days the most. This is a week.
Yes. They have a code to the garage, alarm # and the code to the front door as well in case.

In the event of an emergency, do your parents have the authority to take the kids to the doctor or God-forbid, the emergency room ?

wait until you get on the plane with just your purse, its the craziest feeling!
I would also leave phone numbers of their friends just in case your parents have a question regarding a sport or activity.
Nearest ER for the dog too.

Good one about the friends. I'll definitely do that.
They're good with the dog stuff bc they used to have one and know all the 24 hour emergency vets.

I believe so. I should call the doctor and see what they need.
