I locked in with them right after we closed in June. $1.89/gal with a minimum of 400 gals for the season. No contract.

Re: slomins
Maybe look into cod fuel right now until summer? The prices are between 2.20-2.30 right now.

Re: slomins
We got really lucky. Hubby knows nothing about this kind of stuff and didnt want to do it so I signed when he wasnt looking . Hes glad I did now lol. He didnt realize how much it can go up!
We didnt go with a contract either because my mom works for an oil company (not Slomins) and has a really good friend who will be servicing our boiler when it needs it.

LOL
I'm with meenan now, but i still have to talk to them too.
i am worried if our house sells and we move they will hold us responsible for the contract to either use at new place or make buyers take over TBD!

I wouldn't renew then.
We had Slomin's and sold our house. We luckily only had a month of no service contract (and it was summer), but the fee to break the contract was pretty high. It's just a gamble if your system is not new.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure if you move you can technically break the contract. For some reason I feel like I have done this cause I rented several times before we bought and had to pay for oil.
