big brothers big sisters donation question
If you've dontated through them, did you get a tax-deductible receipt? I scheduled a donation and donated ALOT of stuff. Thought I would get a receipt but I never did. I left a message for them and haven't gotten a call back

They gave me a piece of paper and said to go on line to get a receipt. I did it last year so I don't have the website, but you could try looking them up on line.

big brothers big sisters donation question
i found one online for their organization but the address on the sheet is MA. Not sure if that matters or not. The directions say to estimate how much the clothes were worth on your own and give the receipt to your tax preparer. Does this sound right?

This. I donate to them routinely and they leave a receipt that looks like a door hanger and you fill in the items yourself. I've never gotten an itemized receipt.

They just emailed it to me. It has the date and tax id on it, and then a bunch of lines for me to itemize what I donated
