December getaway for a few days
Looking to go away Xmas break. We have been going with another family the last 2 years. Kids are ages 5 - 8. Want to go somewhere where we usually leave either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (neither one of us celebrate).
So far we've done DC and Boston. LOVED DC and would probably go back again.
Boston was great, but the drive home was miserable and everything was spread out a little too far that we wanted to see. LOL
Any other ideas? Kids love musuems and site seeing. Something close to drive to and stay 2 - 3 nights at a hotel and lots to do.
The adults love site seeing, breweries, history, nice restaurants.

DH and I just spent a week in Burlington VT. We stayed in an Airbnb with our dog, spent a lot of time at breweries, restaurants and wineries, and hiking The Shelburne Museum was awesome and I think would be enjoyable for kids. The Ben and Jerry’s factory is also close by.

Philadelphia! Lots of history, great restaurants and one of the best children's museums.
