Appropriate age for Lion King show

We live OOS and the Lion King will be touring in our city. At that time I'll have an 8 yr old and a 4 1/2 yr old, both boys . Will my 4.5 yr old be ok at the show and actually enjoy it?

Tix that I'm looking at are between 100-120 each so it's either we all go, so roughly $400ish, or just one of us takes just my 8 yr old. We're ok buying tickets for all 4 of us but I just want to make sure it's worth it. We don't get as many shows here so I don't know when the next opportunity will be.

Re: Appropriate age for Lion King show

LOVED the Lion King. I haven't seen it in ages though. Before kids, but I did go with my mom, sister and my niece who was 2 at the time and she LOVED it.
I think it really depends on the kid. I went to see Aladdin with my boys when they were 6 and 4 and my younger DS was more jumpy. Just need lots of snacks. We went again recently to see School of Rock. They are 8 and 6 now and both loved the show.

Definitely show the kids the movie first, but I think it's great for that age if you know your son will sit. Worth it. Especially since you're visiting.

We just saw it last month with my 6 y/o DD and it was great. There were a lot of kids younger than my Dd there. Your youngest should be fineChat Icon

The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted into the theatre. That is per the site. If your child will sit through an entire movie at the theater, he might be okay, but I think that's a lot of money to spend if he can't.
