Donating pet food

We have a few cans left of a speciality grain free cat food that we were feeding our cat before he passed away 2 months ago. Chat Icon

Our other cat refuses to eat it because she is super finicky.

I would hate for it to go to waste as it was expensive and it's a high quality food.

Can I donate it to an animal shelter or rescue? Would they take just a few cans? I think it's about 8 cans.

Anyone know a shelter in Suffolk that takes donations like that?

Re: Donating pet food

Petco has a donation bin at the front of their stores for donations. They expect single cans. I'm sure PetSmart has something similar. They list which shelters they are affiliated with, and who the donations will be going to.
If you go directly to a shelter, I'm sure they'll take it as well. They always need food.
