Gluten Free Play-Doh
Does anyone know where I could purchase gluten-free play-doh or what brands are gluten free? I am a teacher using it for science and just in case anyone has an allergy I want to cover my bases. Thanks!

Doesn't gluten only affect you if you eat it? I was always confused by that. I have a shampoo that is labeled gluten free and I was always like .

People with severe cases can have contact reactions, but my bigger concern is kids don't wash their hands. So they use it and then eat snack or lunch.

Yeah never thought of that. I just always looked at it as like Celiacs where if you eat gluten you get sick. Not like a nut allergy where its like an anaphylactic thing

Gluten Free Play-Doh
You can definitely find different brands on Amazon but if model magic would work for you that is gluten free.

Things like shampoo, soap, makeup can also contain gluten. Some people with celiac react to it, many don't.

Re: Gluten Free Play-Doh
My daughter has celiac and I would LOVE if they had gluten free play doh in school. While she isn't so sensitive that she needs to use gluten free hygiene products, play doh is something that gets stuck under nails and cuticles and little kids suck at washing their hands so I'm always afraid she'll wind up ingesting some. Celiac is an autoimmune disease and even a teeny, tiny amount can cause a reaction where the body attacks its own intestines.
It's a fun disease

Thanks! I'm trying to figure out if Model Magic has salt in it because it's cheaper than the gluten free play-doh. I'm making squishy circuits (play-doh, 9v batteries, mini alligator clips, and mini LEDs), and salt is a conductor in the dough which is why it works. If not I'll just buy the gluten-free dough.

In that case, here's a recipe for homemade gluten free play dough that has salt and would be super cheap to make.
