Shoe repair?
Do shoe makers still exist?
I remember when I was a kid there was always a store front with an old man who fixed your shoes for you! 
I don't see much of that anymore. I know there is one in Penn Station- with the shoe shine chairs in the front....they do shoe repair in the back.
But are there any in Suffolk? Ronkonkoma area?
I have a pair of high heeled sandals that need a new heel piece- the little thing on the bottom of the heel seems to have come off and I'm walking off balance
Anyone know where to get shoes repaired?

I think there is one on Hawkins Ave in Ronkonkoma.

yes the guy on Hawkins- I used him a zillion years ago to fix my Gucci bag he was great!!

yes!! I wonder if it's the same guy- maybe his son took over- I remember him being pretty old- and I used him I think like seriously 15 years ago....

Shoe repair?
I used Ray's in Ronkonkoma as well. They repaired heels on my boots. They came out like new again.

I saw that one when I was searching but it had mixed reviews. But again, people will complain about the sky being the wrong shade of blue so I try not to put too much credence in Yelp reviews etc
Have you used them before? They are good?
