Can I see the eye doctor this week?
Its been a few years since I got my eyes checked and I think its time for a new prescription so I made an appointment for this week.
My glasses are still good but now I'm having trouble seeing things close up :(
Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning up/vacuuming/laundry.
Last night while taking a shower I noticed my eye was tender when I rubbed it in the shower.
This morning it feels like I'm almost about to shed a tear, and it feels a bit puffy and tender if I blink and almost itchy but not quite.
This never happened to me before, but my wife said I probably touched my eye with dirty hands. She said its common and will go away in a few days.
Anyone experience this?
Should I cancel my eye appointment?
Im worried I won't be able to get accurate test results with this wonky eye.

You probably scratched your eye. Happened to me a few weeks ago. I thought I had pink eye. I didn't. The doctor prescribed my antibiotics so it didn't get infected.

I would wait until the day before your appointment and if it's still bothering you I would cancel.

No you should definitely go because if you hurt yourself the eye dr should see it and treat it!

This! Your optometrist should be doing an overall eye physical of sorts - not just checking your vision!

Thanks for the replies.
Last night I looked at my eye and I saw a whitehead.
It looked like I had a tiny pimple on my eyelash area.
So I consulted Dr. Google and I think its a stye.
This morning the whitehead is gone and my eye still feels swollen but not as tender as it was yesterday.
