Preschool Nap times

How would you handle this?

Lately my son (3 yeaars old) is giving me a hard time to go to bed- More so during the week when he is at preschool
I was thinking of asking his teachers not to allow him to sleep more than 1.5 hours a day for naptime.

We have an app where it gives us updates on when he goes to sleep, and when he wakes up. Lately his naps are close to 2 hours.

On the weekends, i find my son sleeps better at night with a 1-1.5 hour nap- Bedtime comes and just a baby fight and then he will go to bed for the night.

can i speak to the teachers? How would you handle this? what would he do while other kids are still napping

Preschool Nap times

When my daughter turned 2.5 we made daycare wake her after 1 hour. Now that she is 3.5 we literally just asked the teacher today to not put her down for nap. She can sit and color or read books and have quiet time. If she falls asleep or the teacher feels she is having a bad day she is allowed to use her judgement and give a nap. We are also doing this bc my daughter is going to bed later and later and is just not tired. Talk to your daycare and see what they say.

My son is the same age and he naps at daycare for 1.5-2 hours. He's definitely harder to put to sleep during the week. On weekends, he rarely naps and goes to bed early. I know at my daycare, they cannot wake kids from naps.
