Eden Resort in Lancaster end of September?
Is it worth going to Eden Resort in Lancaster PA at the end of September? Would you get much use out of the splash area? Is it more of a Summer place? What do you suggest or can anyone please provide other recommendations?
Thanks!
Eta: I don't know if it makes a difference but we don't plan on spending the whole day at the hotel, most of the day will be spent out doing things.

Re: Eden Resort in Lancaster end of September?
The outdoor pool and splash area may be closed by the end of Sept- I would check with the hotel on that before booking. Even if it's warm enough to use it they may close it before that.
For me, the pool area and splash area really make the resort. It's nice, the rooms are nice and there is an indoor pool- but you can get that at many hotels in the area.
Unless the prices are significantly less in Sept, I wouldn't spend the money if you can't use the outdoor pool etc
ETA_ look into the Doubletree Lancaster- they have an indoor kids water area with some slides etc....

I checked with Eden and the outdoor splash area is open during that time, but I wonder if the weather will hold up end of September or if colder Fall weather will set in by then. I know what you mean by every hotel having a pool, the only reason we want to go to Eden is for the splash area. I'm hoping the weather will still be warm enough to make use of the outdoor splash area otherwise it will be a waste. I wonder if Eden is more a July/August kind of place. I'd go to doubletree instead but there are no more rooms available. Same for Steamboat Inn. I don't know what other hotels to try.
Thanks!

we did it one year in september (only time staying at Eden. It didn't work so well. 2 days of our trip were dreary. The third/last day wasn't, but it still wasn't super warm. We did the outdoor pool, but once you were above the water, you were cold.
Its a total gamble. I'd say its not worth it without the outdoor area, the indoor pool is fine, but its not really any better than others and worse than some.
