Help me get my kids the f*** to sleep!

Is she up and about or just singing etc? If it's b, let her go, she will fall asleep. For us as long as they are in their beds and lights out, it's good

Does she still take naps? Cut them out if so. I had the same problem and I cut his naps out and it worked. Or I didn't let him sleep for more than 45 mins and it had to be before 2pm. It's hard in the beginning but it gets bettter as they get used to it.

My 2.5 yr old twins can no longer nap. If they do, they are the same way! We cut the nap, and now they are both sound asleep by 8 pm, and they sleep until 8 am the next morning.

Like a PP said, is she awake and playing in bed or is she screaming?

Our bedtime routine is that we start getting ready for bed at 7. We change, brush teeth, read a million books. I aim to get out of my DS' room by 7:30 at the latest. He usually calls us up at least 2-3 times with requests for the first 5 minutes we leave his room - Mommy, turn on the fan. Mommy, get me water. Mommy, put socks on me. Mommy give me one more huggie. (you get the idea)

He is 3. On days he naps, I hear him quietly playing probably until 8:15-8:30. On days he doesn't nap, he usually passes out right away and sometimes we start bedtime early at 6:45 and he is passed out by 7:15.

Thanks for the replies. She does still nap so thinking about it, maybe that is a real factor to consider. She goes to bed tired but then suddenly is ready to play.

If she's tired before bed, but suddenly has energy, she might be overtired. My kids get delerious when they're overtired and even though they're so sleepy, they get a second burst of energy. If you don't think dropping a nap will work, try moving bedtime a bit earlier.
