Going away (road trip) with 5 month old
DH and I want to bring DD to Amish Country. She will be almost 5 months. Has anyone stayed at a hotel with a 5 month old? Any tips on how to not mess up their night time sleep schedule ? I read that babies sometimes regress after being away and I'm nervous. We will be bringing her pack n play.

At 5 months we didn't have a schedule so we just did whatever since we never got much sleep anywhere

Re: Going away (road trip) with 5 month old
When we've gone away with dds when they were younger (even now), we go into bed around when they do - it's virtually impossible to watch tv, have lights on, moving around while dc is falling asleep. Bring iPad, book light for bed.

Just did it last week ( to Amish country too!) and ds turned 5 months today. He slept great in the pack n play in the hotel overnight no problem. Napped a lot in the car too on the ride over & while we drove around there. It was really no different for him from being at home.

We went away around that age, maybe slightly older. No sleep regression after.

We were over seas with y 5 month old. He was still waking up all night so my biggest worry was baby waking our neighbors. As for a schedule, we didn't stick to one and he was fine when we came home. In other words, still waking up all night lol

We went away when my DS was 3 months and he did regress sleeping wise. I'm. It sure if it was the trip or his age. He slept fine when away, but once we got home was a disaster. He was a terrible sleeper from 3 months - 22 months with a few good nights here and there.
