ok so the saga continues - help GAS
Ellie is still miserable. Now, I've been watching it for 2 or more days and I don't think it's an ear infection or teething. I think it's GAS. I can literally hear her stomach gurggling and she gets upset any time I lay her flat. It's too late at night to call teh Dr. or run to the pharmacy for those drops I hear everyone using so I'm wondering are there any at home remedies other than fruitlessly trying to burp her.

We have used infant mylicon, a friend of mine swears by annaseed (sp?) that you boil and give a few drops of to the baby....not sure if you have any of that though....do you have a 24 hr cvs anywhere nearby?? (thats where we went and got the mylicon in the middle of the night!)

do you have mylanta in the house? regular strength and regular flavor? you can give her up to 1/2 tbs. it has simethicone in it which is what mylicon is. we use it for hannah when she is having a bad reflux episode in between her zantac doses. the pedi gastroenterologist gave us the okay.

Did she just start solids? Did you start with rice? b/c my son was miserably gassy when I started him on rice cereal, the poor thing. I switched to oatmeal and hes much better. I started my other 2 on oatmeal and I didnt have the gas problem with either of them. Mylicon works wonders for him though, he gets almost instant relief when I couple that with bunching up his legs or bicycling them. HTH
