First day of school outfit- girls

What are your girls wearing on the first day of school?

I like to send her a little dressier on the first day, I guess it's like a tradition.
But nothing too "fall" because it's usually hot as balls on the first day (and first month actually!)

I got her a short sleeved dress in Kohl's on a great sale, but I felt the pickings were slim this year. I searched Target, Kohls, Carters, Osh Kosh, Justice, Macys, Old Navy and I didn't find anything I loved.

What are your girls wearing for the first day?

I saw some really cute dresses in the gymboree outlet. I got my twins who are going into 1st grade a dress that has school supplies all over it they loved it.

I got two dresses from Amazon on prime day. I'm trying to convince her to wear this one but it doesn't have pink so she's not thrilled.

She wants this sparkly pink and silver striped spaghetti strap dress that looks kinda cheapie. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for something we both love. Totally agree that kohl's was slim pickings yesterday even online.

I was in Kohls last night for back to school clothes for my daughter (who is going into Kindergarten). I felt the same way, there was really not much of a selection. I ended up getting her a few pairs of jeans, since she outgrew all of her old ones. I got sweatpants and leggings for gym days, a few t-shirts and only a few "dressy" type outfits. Her first day of school outfit is a very light weight sundress dress with a white t-shirt underneath (I can't find a pic online).
But I do see a bigger selection online.

I wanted to share with everyone, I got a couple pairs of Sonoma brand jeggings, the advertised price was $14.99 and when I got to the register they rang up at $2.60 each! Plus 30% off - I paid $1.82.

I got this dress at Target a couple of weeks ago and love it so much, I'll probably have her wear it the first day.

My dd has been obsessed with the Hanna Anderson twirly dresses so she will be wearing a colorblock one with short sleeves.

My daughter saw this in target and yelled that it's the perfect first day of first grade outfit. Soooo, I am buying it for her. Usually I would get something cutesy from crazy 8 or another kids clothing store but this is what she wants.

We hit up Lord and Taylor and got a ton of dresses that were on super sale. She's got her favorites and will definitely wear one, weather permitting! DD is a real girly girl and will only wear dresses.

I get her a shirt made. This year I got her lookout first grade here I come and it has her name on it.

I will pair it with either a skirt or leggings.

I do the same for the last day of school.
