Rosh Hashanah long weekend in sept-kids no school
We are not jewish so since the kids have off Thursday and Friday, we were thinking of going somewhere not too far away (driving) and staying a night or 2 (thurs and fri and come home sat night).
This is proving to be more difficult than I thought!
Wildwood pier is not open. Storybookland closed. Land of Make Believe closed. was considering Lake George but would want to go to Great Escapes theme park, they are closed.
Is anything open? Sept is not that cold yet??? In fact it has been downright hot some years.
We have been to Kalahari and to Dutch Wonderland and are going to Sesame Place next spring so those are out.
Any ideas?

Yes most of those places are seasonal so even though it can be super hot in Sept they close because it's not worth it to keep them open with the kids back and school- they aren't nearly busy enough to keep them open I guess.
We are going to take the ferry from Orient and go to Mystic CT.. We will do the aquarium, walk around Mystic and stay the night at Mohegan Sun. DD will love the indoor pool and they have some great dining options at Mohegan
We were going to go to Florida and take her out of school one day to make it like a 5 day trip but the flights weren't working out.
So we are staying local and low key

Eden in Lancaster? Enjoy the resort and check out the attractions that haven't shut down yet?
I hear you on the weather. September can be just as hot as July or August. I remember last year or the year before sweating on my walk to school from the train in October thinking "when is this going to end?"

I looked into so many places, either everything was booked or the flight prices were insane. I ended up booking 2 nights in NYC through Groupon.

You can still do Lake George and do the indoor waterpark at Six Flags hotel

Yes = Hershey is only open that Sat and Sun (already looked into it).
