Overnight between Woodstock VT and New London CT
Hi
We are taking the kids away for a couple of nights next week to woodstock VT...I was thinking of extending the mini vacation on the way back and staying somewhere for one night...we will be taking the new london ferry back to long island the next day. Any recommendations for a cute town between these two places?

I am considering Mystic...we have stopped there a dozen times but have never stayed over or visited teh aquarium...I wonder is it better than the one in Riverhead.

Not huge but definititely bigger than the Riverhead aquarium
