Is it sad...

... that I dread reading the news in the morning, wondering which country, group of countries, race, religion, etc. our potus has offended/pissed off/lessened friendships with/etc....

I used to be worried about what policies politicians were making, but since trump is so incompetent, he can't actually accomplish anything, I now get to worry about how much respect, support, etc. we lose internationally every day. And/or how divided he is trying to make this country.

Now, he's even managed to piss off a bunch of very rich, very powerful CEOs, which used to be his go-to group of people.

And with his too little, too late "response" to the tragedy in C'ville, I think he's pissed off the neo-nazis, white supremacists, and the rest of the country who isn't in one of those hate groups.

However, his die-hard supports will still stick by him no matter what...

This boggles my mind daily Chat Icon .

It is unbelievable that EVERY DAY there is some new story about how completely incompetent this administration is. Yet, I am also completely frightened by the idea that his re-election is not out of the question (I know it's way early, but I can't help thinking about it)

I couldn't agree more. I think we also said this early on in the Presidency, that we would wake up thinking, "what's it going to be today?", waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Sad, tragic, depressing too.

I feel the same as you, but see things differently. I think most of the media is unconscionably biased. For this reason, in addition to all of the awful stuff that's always in the news, I dread it too.

I agree. I think the media isn't helping either. They are loving the ratings and multiple hits just by quoting crazy Trump tweets.

For once, I wish CNN would shift its focus from Trump and the stupidities he says and talk about policies and important stories that matter besides fanning the flames of civil unrest. I would love to open CNN or NYT/WaPo and read stories of people being brave, of firemen rescuing kittens from house fires, of people doing good deeds for a change, of progress toward finding a cure for cancer, of leaders actually passing positive legislation actually helping downtrodden families. Stuff that we, as human beings, should be working on to be a better version of ourselves instead of triggering historical parallels to Nazi Germany/WWII. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I got through many months since the election by focusing on more productive stories and news.

I agree that CNN is too sensationalized lately but maybe if we had an intelligent coherent sane president who spoke of policies for ALL Americans the news would have more substance to report!

I think everyone especially white non Jewish Trump supporters and defenders should be taking a stand and speaking out after his statements last night. NO ONE who turns the other way has my respect right now.
