Disney essentials

I'm sure this has been done before but I searched and couldn't find it. My girls will be 7 & 5 so I don't need any baby things but are there items that I should pack either for the hotel or the park. Also what do the girls wear in the park? The day my girls go to salon they are eating at Cinderellas royal castle for lunch? Should I bring costumes? Are all the kids in themed disney clothes at the parks everyday?

my girls are the same ages and we have been a few times. Yes, bring dresses for Cinderellas Royal table - all the girls are dressed up there. Besides the few particular character dining, kids aren't really in Disney clothes everyday. I will get my girls one or two shirts but its not needed.

We bring stroller fans, snacks for park and hotel room, lots of sunblock, sneakers and flip flops, lots of hand wipes lol... I always rent a double stroller so I bring the mommy stroller clips that you can hang a bag off the stroller - that comes in handy.. I also bring a good thermos cup that will keep their drinks cold while in the park.

Re: Disney essentials

When I went I did have my kids in disney themed clothes every day. But not everybodys kids where.

When I packed I picked each outfit out for each day put them in ziplock bags and labled them with a sharpie. So I just had to pull out the bag each day and their clothes were ready to go.

When my DD went to the salon I took her there without an princess costume on but then took her back to the room and had her pick which one she wanted to wear (they had no idea we were going so I brought basically all of them so she can pick which one she wanted to be.) she put the outfit over her clothes. She didn't last the whoel day at the park with it on. Actually she barley ended up wearing.

The day we at cinderalla castle she just wore this pricness shrit but you girls can dress up esp since its the same day as the salon (ours wasnt)

bring a double stroller or rent one from an outside company. Believe me both girls will want them.

My kids drink out of funtainer thermos if you don't have them bring them. I filled them up with water and one with milk for my DS and it stood cold all day for them

download the Disney app so once you use your 3 picked fast pass you can choose more.

Everything is totally up to you. My DS will be wearing his normal clothes to the parks. IMO comfort is the highest priority.

We don;t have disney clothes so I'd have to go buy stuff and not worth it.

As for costumes.....Will your kids be comfortable? do they want to wear them.....not wioth a fight if you think they will be uncomfy.

I'm not bringing anything special. I am ordering water and snacks to be delivered but we don't even bring a stroller anymore (DS is 5).

I would just pack like you would for any vacation.

My girls have outgrown the dress up stage. But I'd have them wear it part of the day. With theirs clothes underneath. And sneakers. I see some many girls in those plastic dress up shoes. For a quick meal it's fine but all day. No way.

I'd bring a dress or two for special dayS(but it's more comfy in regular clothes).

People do all kinds of things at Disney... we travel light (literally with a small purse with 3 kids). My kids don't mind walking and we enjoy winging things.

Pack ponchos, it rains a lot this time of year (if you are going soon). Also portable fans that they can wear around their necks...small ones, not those huge mister ones, which take up a ton of space, and then they just squirt everyone and everything. Also alcohol wipes (not those ones with benzo something in them..pure alcohol purrell ones are great), because believe it or not, we always encounter tons of kids that get sick at Disney...miserable and sick on the bus and parents dragging them to the parks since they paid $5K for this vacation, and they aren't missing a thing Chat Icon. Sooo...be diligent about hand washing there!

Wear shoes that can get wet because no one wants to ride Splash Mountain, etc. and walk around in sloshing wet sneakers. Crocs, sandals, water shoes from Lands End, etc.

We go to Disney a lot, and my DD always has Disney clothes. Custom boutique things...not character shirts from the store. I make a lot of cute dresses to match certain themes, characters, etc. Princess sundresses is what I would do for BBB. It's too hot and itchy in those typical princess costumes. You can find tons of cute things on Etsy.
