Too old/big for Sesame Place?

At what age in your opinion has a child outgrown the rides at Sesame Place? Or does a height limit on some rides become the deciding factor?

We went there when my brothers and I were 9, 8, and 2. We had a great time. There were enough big kid rides there to keep us entertained.

My girls are 7 and 9 and they have no interest. They are Hershey fans now.

I feel like 7 is the cut off. Sesame place is pretty small and a lot of the rides are geared towards little kids. They do have some good water slides and the one roller coaster, but that only takes you so far, ya know?

I feel like it would really depend on the kid. If they need nonstop action then I'd skip it but if they'd be happy jumping around between a few regular rides and the water stuff then that's another story.

We are going this year, my kids are 7 and 4 (almost 5) and I think this will be the last time.

Agreed. We moved on to Dutch wonderland and Hershey. But they're def outgrown Dutch, too.

Ideal age for sesame in my opinion is 15 months to four years old. If your child watches the show seeing that look of wonder as their favorite character greets them or is in the parade cannot be beaten at all. It has enough to do for a good visit and it is not so big that your kid will get too tired out.

I have a two year old and a nine year old. We have been going for years, first when my son was young and then we took a few years off and went back last summer and again this summer for my daughter. My son had fun this summer because he was able to go on all of the bigger slides, they were perfect for him. Obviously, he wasn't into the characters and the smaller dry rides, but the water slides kept him entertained.

My 9 year old still likes it. Obviously he isn't into the characters but he likes the rides.

I don't have kids, but my parents took me as a kid when I was 6; I remember feeling a little old then.

Too old/big for Sesame Place?

My 6 yr old still enjoyed it when we went a couple of weeks ago, but it is not something we would do if he was our only or youngest. It was more for our younger kids. Next year we will do Sesame because our others are still so little- youngest is 14 months- but we will also try out Hershey.
