Ebay question
I sold tickets on Ebay, originally listed as Local pickup only because the show is Tuesday. Sold them Sunday. Buyer asked for overnight shipment. I cancelled the listing because I did not want to risk tickets not arriving.
Buyer insisted she really wanted tickets, willing to pay overnight shipping. I agreed, sent tickets Monday guaranteed overnight delivery. PO attempted delivery today, no one home to sign. I am worried she is going to try and dispute and ask for her money back if she can't track them down.
I did my part, right? I have proof of attempted delivery.

Re: Ebay question
only issue i see is that you should have said no signature required.. then they could have just been left
most people aren't home during the day so that would have been a fool proof way to ensure she got them

Ebay question
Problem with that is that I have no recourse if she claims to have not received them or they were taken from her doorstep. I was trying to cover my butt if she tried to do that. The woman at the post office advised me to check signature required.

i hear ya.. but maybe you and the buyer should have had a conversation so she'd know to be home. I'm just thinking for myself, that if i was a buyer and in that situation - i'd not be home during the day so would be really upset if the signature required box was checked, and i didn't know about it to make plans otherwise if possible. know what i mean?
i don't think she has any recourse against you from ebay because you did everything technically correct

Thanks. I feel terrible as I don't want her to miss it, I've been sending her emails all day to let her know that she missed the delivery and she should go down to the PO and get it. But no response so far.

Why don't you email her and ask if she plans on picking up the tickets at the post office since you noticed they attempted delivery today. Ohh I see now that you emailed her. Not really your fault, and she really has no recourse.

Re: Ebay question
For anything time sensitive I would have done no signature required.

eBay and PayPal are both very fickle so not sure how they will decide. As for a signature your damned if you do and damned if you don't (she can turn around and say they weren't delivered). I'm assuming you sent her the tracking information last night so some responsibly is on her part. She still has time to go to the post office and collect the package.

Yes, I sent her the tracking yesterday the moment I had it. And I have emailed her several times telling her the PO will have them if she goes there before they close, through both Ebay and her regular email that showed in Paypal. If I had a cell number I'd call her too.
I know if it were me, I would have definitely checked the tracking and saw they attempted to deliver.

She actually did!! I had googled it and her post office closed at 4:30, so I thought for sure there was no way she would get there on time since I had heard nothing from her all day.
But at 5:45 I got a text from USPS tracking that it was delivered! And I still have not heard from her, but they miraculously got there so I assume she went and its all good. I was seriously stressing.
