Does anyone else find this ultra annoying?
Those damn videos on snapchat or instagram (I think they originated on Snapchat but I have seen them on instagram) where the person has the filter on that makes them look like a deer with these huge eyes and odd deer shaped face and ears and as if that isn't effed up enough, they speak. And their voice is all cartoon character and annoying?
Do you know what I speak of?
Grown ass adults giving a speech on how their dog took a shit on the floor and what a pain in the asss it is to clean.... all in that high pitched voice that is like nails on a chalk board and looking like a a creepy ass version of Bambi?
Is it me? Is this not the most ridiculous thing ever?
Is this what our society is becoming? We are just getting dumber and dumber and more vapid on a daily basis. I fear for the future.

Does anyone else find this ultra annoying?
Thank goodness I haven't seen any of these posted it the person would promptly be unfollowed by me lol.
I do video chat with my sister on fb messenger pretty much daily and they recently added these stupid filters (no voice alteration thankfully). It's so annoying bc now we can't really talk without my kids wanted to play with the filters. I wouldn't care except at 5 and 2 they can't actually hold a conversation while playing with this crap. They used to sit and chat and have real quality time with my sister and her family and now that's out the window which really bothers me.

My mom did this the other day when we video chatted. I see photo all the time on fb. I dont get the hype bit whatever makes people happy

Neither do I but it seem to have pervaded Instagram. On those stores you can click on at the top. Someone I follow had this deer video thing going on up there.
That's where I first saw it.
I don't mind a still shot with the filter as much- though if you are doing it over the age of 21 I will  at you.
But the video and that voice? OMG nails on a chalkboard!

My kids (8 and 4) are obsessed with Snapchat. I get a kick out of them though, they make some really cute, funny videos together. 
A friend of mine and her son do some hysterical ones too.

I have one friend who is 50 and does this. It is dumb. I mean maybe it is ok for a teenager, but not for a grown woman. Thankfully everyone else in my friend group does not do this.

I have different characters I made up. Me and my friends send them to eachother all the time. Now im going to hide..cause im emabrrased!!

Does anyone else find this ultra annoying?
yes but whats even more annoying to me is every "celebrity" (using that term loosely, I mean like real housewives or the jersey shore people) where like 95% of their posts are ads. Especially Teresa Giudice. Like posing in her kitchen with a Hello Fresh box, whitening her teeth, holding a bag of that stupid tea. It really is a pet peeve of mine. Like does anyone actually go, "oh wow, Teresa uses this? I have to use it now"

I know.
The funny thing is one time one of them got caught because they were too stupid and posted something without removing the instructions from the ad agency or whatever. They posted it as "OK to post this after 10 am today, use this picture and say this...... " and the wording they were supposed to say.
It was so obvious it was a canned ad.

We must have the same friend. She posts these Snapchat selfies, along with about 10 other selfies throughout the day. Since she's not married and has no kids, I kinda give her a pass but I still find it strange.
