my sister always stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites-Newtown when she went and recommended it to us. it also has free breakfast I believe... we were going to stay but since it's only an hour and a half we decided to just drive there and back in the same day

I stayed at the Sheraton across the street and it was beautiful with a great pool. I also stayed at the courtyard down the block and it was great with a great free breakfast. Both were reasonably priced too.

There are definitely packages, but idk if they are a good deal - you'd have to compare the price of the hotel at the time.
I think the 2 day sesame tickets are usually around $55 (might have to buy online for that price). You can do the second day any time in the same season. I recently saw an email ad for $45 single day tickets. Under age 2 is free. We get the season passes. The 2018 season passes goes on sale next Friday (7/28) and includes the rest of this year. I think the base level pass is
$113. If you are planning a vacation to other Busch parks, it might be worth it to get a higher level pass, but I haven't priced it out. I've also heard about a teacher pass. If you're a teacher, you might want to see if that is still offered.
ETA - we usually stay until closing and there seem to be long lines for the shuttles. (not sure which hotels because we drive ).
