Getting 2 year old to pee

Dd is 2 and has been sitting on the toilet, popped twice. She has been waking up dry so I've been putting her on the toilet. But she doesn't do anything. I tried putting her feet in warm water but she just splashed. Tried running the faucet. Nothing. What can I do to get her to go?

Just keep trying. 2 is still very young. She'll get there! At least she's enjoying sitting and trying. Just keep it fun and reward when she does go.

I used the three day method with my 2yo. Leave them in undies, watch her like a hawk, and run to the potty when they start to go. I had a lot of issues I think bc I was taking her when I thought she had to go and carrying her/ sitting her in the potty rather than making her run in, pull down her own pants, and climb on. My 3yo was way easier to train since she was older, it was literally one conversation and she was trained.

I had this issue with my almost 4 year old when I was trying to potty train him. He just wouldn't go on the potty/toilet. It was like he was afraid to release the urine without the comfort of the pull up. He woulld hold it as long as he could and then urinate on the floor because he physically could not hold it any longer. One day it just clicked that he can let it out. It actually happened outside after he was playing with water and naked lol it wasn't smooth sailing from there but it started the success. 2 is young though - maybe try in a couple months.
