anything like this within easy driving distance?
My anniversary is at the end of the month. My mother is willing to watch DD for the weekend/an overnight trip....we used to like to go to mohegan etc. but when I asked DH where he wanted to go he said, gee, wish we could find a place like Hidden Pond in Maine. We went to Hidden Pond several years ago and it was awsome! (link : http://hiddenpondmaine.com/ We stayed in an individual bungalow (it was luxury), there was a pool, bikes to use, smores at night etc. A truly beautiful place. But it's simply too far for us to go for an overnight. Are there any places that are maybe 3 hour driving distance max that would be similar?

i was gonna say Crystal Springs, too. or Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa in NY state...

I never went so I'm not sure it's what you're looking for, but I used to want to go to Mohonk mountain house.

Thanks all! So annoying -- everything seems to be 2 night stays in the summer. I get it, but we just have one night!

Did you try looking at the places you want to book on Orbitz, etc.? I was looking at a place with a 2 night min., but on Orbitz it was only 1
