Castor oil
Anyone take castor oil to induce labor and did it work? I'm 40 weeks today, having contractions every 2-3 minutes but only 1cm. Dr said to go home and walk around but I'm in pain. Everyone is suggesting I take castor oil to move things along but I'm worried I'm just going to poop all day rather then go into labor.

i tried it and it made me throw up all day. i didn't have DD for another week lol

I wouldn't personally. Either way you will have a baby likely within the next 2 weeks :)

They will induce me on Wed if she isn't here by then. I have my appt on Sat to set it up. I really don't want to be induced.

Same here! It was fantastic.
I wouldn't do castor oil. I was SO done and I tried everything else- eggplant, spicy foods, sex, walking 5k a day!  Nothing helped.

Do some research. I've read some horror stories about people who have tried castor oil to induce. Not good.
I was induced 2x (both before my due date because of high BP) and everything worked out perfectly.

Lol. I did this plus a multi med hospital induction (which failed even though I was dilating and ready). I still giggle at pineapples after eating a WHOLE core. My conclusion: WAIT. Otherwise you will get a long induction which may end up in a section. My third came almost a WEEK late at the second induction for the pregnancy (after all the others came early). Hang in there!
