Dispute charges
I have NYC insurance. I went to the hospital on the labor and delivery unit because I was in a lot of pain and left and went back home. Less than 2 hours later I was in so much pain I couldn't stand so I went back to the hospital where I was admitted. I received 2 bills in the mail one for $150 and the other for $300. Should I be charged twice? Do I dispute the charges?

Dispute charges
it was two visits that's why you were charged. I would call and ask the reason for two bills
if they discharged you too soon there is a chance the cost is on them

Dispute charges
You shouldn't be billed for the $150. My son was in the ER last year on a Sunday, then back in the ER on a Monday and eventually admitted. We just got charged the $300 copay for the hospital stay (we had paid the $50 for the first day but, it was refunded).
