Vacation and groceries
We are renting a house in Rehoboth Beach in August. We are looking for ways to cut back on the huge shopping trip we have to do when we get there. Has anyone used Amazon Pantry or Jet.com to have stuff delivered to a vacation rental? Did it work out? I know they don't receive mail at the house so I'm not sure if UPS or FedEx would deliver.

Re: Vacation and groceries
We planned to do this at an AirBnB we were renting in Sedona this month and after spending a lot of time building the Amazon Pantry cart with Prime shipping, when I went to check out, it wasn't going to arrive until 2 days after we got there.
So we just went shopping when we got there.

Re: Vacation and groceries
I pack stuff and/or do a shop once I get there. Done that in Jersey, Florida, and even my timeshare in St. John. I'm not about to waste time waiting on a delivery.

I would be afraid to chance it. The grocery stores there are good but do get crowded on Sat/Sun. Can you bring non-perishables with you then show for just cold stuff? or use a cooler to transport down?

Vacation and groceries
I take all the staples. Salt n pepper, condiments etc. I figure take them out of my kitchen and bring them back because its not worth buying all new. Then we also bring paper towels, TP and dis soap from home. It ends up being a box of things. I am packing a cooler with burger and hot dogs for dinner the first night and bringing beer and wine. Check in day were I am is Saturdays and the supermarket is a mad house so I jsut want to be able to get there and not worry til Sun. We put together a list for the week and go early Sunday before anyone is up.
We have been doing this since I was a kid and it works out well and cuts down on waste.
