apparently it's like a liver biopsy without actually BEING a biopsy?

I’ve been struggling with my health stuff for months now. Joy joy. Long story short, something’s not right but no one can quite figure it out. So blood work pointed to something that may be wrong with my liver. They did an ultrasound. That’s just stupid as hell since I already knew I had spots on my liver and so did they for that matter. Hey let’s look for spots on the place you shouldn’t normally have spots but we already know you have spots because we recorded them just a few months ago and you even knew about them for years! Anyway…… spots are still there, still benign.

They say it's fatty liver with the suggestion of weight optimization, carb reduction and exercise. HAHAHA Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This was absolutely laughable as the whole freaking REASON I was being tested so much was because I lost too much weight. So much if I hadn’t finally just slowed the heck down, this same doc was going to send me to a nutritionist to GAIN weight! I wrote back (we communicate via email messages) that the results and suggestions were misleading. He agreed. He added all of my blood work (of which I’ve had a TON of over the past 3months) has all come very positive and very healthy otherwise. So no additional diet or exercise would be necessary. I’m already on a modified diet due to migraines and I’m on a drug that has appetite suppressant as a side effect.

So now we are here. He recommends a GI Specialist for a Fibroscan. My blood tests keep coming back showing that my liver is inflamed. SO frustrating!

Anyone else have any experience with this madness ?

Sincerely,
Pin cushion with puffy liver
