Welcome!
My reasons for joining are likely a bit differnet than that of my teammates. I have always wanted to run a marathon. I knew that if I went solo, I would never be able to stick with it. I would inevitably end up injured or just bored. I decided to join TNT in an effort to keep me accountable and so I could draw on the knowledge of seasoned runners who knew what they were doing. I hope that something that has become a hobby of mine would be able to do some good as well. I will be running the Equinox Marathon on September 16th, 2017.
My aunt Donna was diganosed with Hodgekin's Lymphoma a few years back. I wasn't around too much as I had just moved from New York to Alaska. I remember how different she looked before I left. It's been a while, but she is doing very well. She fought hard and won. She is in my thoughts every run and I'm so thankful that there's organizations like this bringing research and help to blood cancer patients.
I ask that if you can, please donate to help me reach my goal. I am hoping to raise at least $750, though obviously I'd be thrilled if I raised more. A marathon is hard, but I'm certain finding out you or someone you love is diagnosed with cancer is far harder.
