gift for 2nd wedding- same couple

My cousin and his wife got married in a civil ceremony. None of us were invited, but we still gave a $75 amazon gift card or something. I don't quite remember where the gift card was for, but I know it was $75. We were told they would be having a wedding in China where his wife is from, but that we would all not be expected to go. We ended up getting an invite about 2 months ago for their wedding in NYC and RSVP'd yes. It's a daytime wedding at a pretty upscale venue. My question is, do we give a smaller gift since we gave them the $75 a few months back, or do we match what they gave us for our wedding ($250)?

Just wanted to add that they wrote on my parent's invitation that they are thankful for their original gift and do not expect any monetary gift at their wedding reception. My parents gave them what my aunt gave us for our wedding. Dh and I did not receive any thank you note for our smaller gift lol, so I am wondering if they forgot about it. I am worried about giving a check for $175 and coming off cheap

I would give $200. Maybe you can bring up the gift card and say you wanted to make sure they had received it.

I would match what they gave you. They sound like gracious people (given what they wrote in your parents' invite) and likely overlooked the gift card.

I know they received it because I handed it to them in person when i saw them and they opened it in front of us... I am just not sure if they remember. It's been about a year

I'll do $200. $175 seems like a weird dollar amount to me, and the venue they are getting married at is really nice, and I would imagine it's alot more expensive than mine was.

Given that the $75 was a year ago, I'd forget about it. Give them what you would normally give at a wedding.

I would give $250. That still sounds like a bargain to me, as I would normally give more than that to a family wedding.

Our normal gift is $300 for friends and $350 for family, but they gave us $250 so I was just going to match it. I kept a list of who gave what after my wedding and tend to go by that

We do, too. That's why I'd just give the $250 and be done with it. No point in sweating $50. Better to not offend family IMO.
