is there anyway to format a resume with company name and then the roles you had in that company without specifically dating them? Long story short my company had been promising me a new role and when I finally received it, they decided to completely change the job description. I haven't been in it for long but it looks better on paper then my old role so I really want to include it in my resume.

I would put the date of when you first started with the company next to the company name. Then, just list the titles and duties without dates.

You can just list the date you started with the company and then the different roles you have had during your time with the company but any decent hiring manager is going to see that you are trying to hide something. I would stick to a more traditional format that shows your previous position with the dates then your new role and title--use reverse chronological order so your current role is the first thing they see.
