Build-a-Bear Birthday Parties

~Cross Posted~

Has anyone ever done one or been to one at the Smithaven Mall location? If so, I'd love reviews. The one thing that is stressing me out is that you can't have food there so I know the options are dragging all of the kids to the food court OR over to California Pizza Kitchen which is what I'll prob do because the thought of the chaos in the food court isn't so attractive to me.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Build-a-Bear Birthday Parties

I've never hosted one, but I've attended 2 at the Smithhaven Mall location. For one, we went to California Pizza Kitchen after. It was nice, but it kind of made the birthday party longer than I prefer. The other one I attended didn't do any food at all. My kids loved the stuffed animals they made and still sleep with them.

My feelings are kind of mixed about these parties. The stuffed animals are adorable, but the actual party is kind of boring to be honest. Especially if there are a lot of kids, it's A LOT of sitting around waiting while everyone's animals get stuffed.

Thanks! My daughter is dead set on wanting this party here. The last three years we did two Spa parties and a gymnastics party. She will be 9. I've been looking around the area for other ideas but when she gets her mind set on something it's hard to change it.

The sitting around part sounds yucky. Maybe I can buy the children each a liitle inexpensive activity to do while waiting? Hummmm.....

I went to a few there and we then went to the food court. I'm really not a fan of that party as the kids do alot of waiting and were bored. There are a few companies that do build a bear at home and you can also by your own kits to have the kids do at your house. I would prefer that over going to the mall. http://lipartyxpress.com/stuff-a-bear/

Did you see their new location? It's much smaller than the previous one! I was surprised!

Any other places anyone knows of other than the traditional ones that maybe I'm not aware of? Wish something else would entice her right now.
