I need Windows XP for software with my job. In order to use a newer computer, I have to purchase new software that is $$$. So I am trying to do this first. I have never bought refurbished. I called a local computer repair shop and they said they can give me an IBM with XP installed with a 3 month warrantee. On Ebay, I see two Dells from the same person, or company who has been selling on there since 2005 with great reviews and people bought for similar reasons as me. The Ebay one says it's manufactured refurbished, which is supposed to mean someone from Dell refurbished it or someone certified, not sure, but then it says it's manufactured in Ireland. It has a one year warrantee. I have never bought off Ebay or refurbished computer. Anyone have advice of which place I am better off buying from? I am really stuck and not to savvy with computers.
