Yes there are a lot of kids in my neighborhood and they are always playing basketball or hockey in the street, riding bikes, etc.

Yes they're all out there as much as they can be. I love it.

Weird thing is once school ends it's pretty much a ghost town until school starts because everyone is down at the beach all summer.

Nope, not one kid out. Ever. Not in their backyards either. On Halloween, we typically get 0 ToTers. We've had 1 ToTer in 3 years. And it's not because they skip my house or I'm not home. It's probably the #1 reason we will be moving. If I had to pick my next door neighbors out of a lineup, I wouldn't be able to do it. I know many people who tell me this is what they would love in a house. It's just not what I foresee in my forever home.

I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone knew each other. We'd ride bikes around the block or play kickball in the street every day until it got dark out. And you can't say that "times have changed" because my parents still live there and still know all of their neighbors, despite most of them being new. In fact, I know both of my parents next door neighbors by name, and neither lived there when I lived there.

It's a little early- once school is out we see them more often. But yes, kids are outside a lot.

In the backyard only. My kids are still little and we live off of a busy street. There's not really any kids around on my block though from what it seems.
