For those who invest
Do you put all of your money into one, say mutual fund, or have various? Besides 401k, 403b, and IRA.

So say I have a mutual fund with a company, do I do another with them? Another type of investment? Or go somewhere else?

Depends what makes up the muni fund.
Diversification is the key.
If you have a muni fund that is primarily large cap stocks, you may want a muni fund that is international stocks, or tech stocks, or mid-cap.
Each fund performs differently.
And by company you mean like TD Ameritrade or Edward Jones, then yes, you can have different types of investments with them.

I diversify across asset classes with mutual funds in my current 401k. I also have another account that I have stocks in. It's important to diversify among asset classes which some mutual fund companies do with one fund but those tend to have very high internal expenses.
