Norwalk, CT other things to do besides the aquarium
We are planning a day trip to Norwalk CT for next week to visit the aquarium. I've never been there before.
Can anyone suggest restaurants, other activities or places to visit while we are there? It will be me, DH and DS who is 9.
Also, does anyone know if local places there have coupons available? Like in Dunkin Donuts here, there are coupons for Splish Splash...

Stepping Stones is really nice.
We like to eat in Stamford - I like to go to Dinosaur BBQ. It's very family friendly. We also like Fortina for pizza.

Stepping Stones. There is mini golf down by the beach. The aquarium also has imax movies. In SONO, there is a paintbar that usually has family day during the weekend. My DD who is 9 loves to go there.
For dinner, we love to go to Colony pizza. If you like Spanish food, there is Barcelona. There are a lot of good restaurants by the aquarium.

I'm not sure how much a 9 year old would like Stepping Stones. If you drive a little further to Bridgeport, the Discovery Museum might be better for him. There's also a ropes course right behind there, which you would probably have to make reservations for. There's also a zoo in Bridgeport.
Barcelona has really good Spanish tapas. There's one pretty close to the Discovery Museum. Norwalk has a ton of good restaurants. One of my favorites is Valencia Luncheria. I also like Lime Restaurant a lot, but there aren't many kid friendly choices. Burger Bar and Bistro is kid friendly. For super casual, Post Road Diner is pretty good. You can also head down Washington Street in South Norwalk for nicer restaurants for dinner.

Strada 18 is great in Norwalk. Bar taco in stamford.
There's also chocopologie in Norwalk for desserts.

Stepping Stones is awesome, but it is better for younger kids. IMO, it targets kids in the 2-7 age range.

Strada 18 and Chocopologie have closed. I love Bar taco. They have the best margaritas. We go to a different one than Stamford, but it's one of my kids' favorite restaurants. Bar taco and Barcelona are owned by the same group. You can't go wrong with either one.

We don't go to bar taco in stamford either. We go to the one in rye town. Love that place.
We'll have to try Barcelona
