Adenoid Removal
If your child had their adenoids removed, would you mind sharing why?
I am getting conflicting opinions from doctors.

Adenoid Removal
Mine dd had sleep apnea almost from birth. She snored like a 60 year old fat man and they were so big that when she got sick they were swelling so badly they were restricting breathing. She had her tonsils done at the same time because they were so large that they would squish together when she got ill. She was getting sick very often. Her issues are genetic though and my dh should have his removed too for the same reasons and never got it taken care of as a child and now continues to suffer as an adult. Both her pediatricians and ENT suggested it and after trying a prescription nose spray they wanted to try before doing the surgery. The spray did nothing. I'm 100% happy we got it done because no one realized that her hearing was being affected till after the surgery. She was like a new child after the 2 weeks of healing.

Re: Adenoid Removal
my son got tubes put in at 8 months....a year later at a year and 8 months his tubes had fallen out and he was still getting ear infection.
The ent said the second time around he puts in a second set of tubes and shaves the adnoids.
Thats what we did. My son is 5 now.
