Good 1st birthday gift for girl that doesn't take up too much space?
I want to mail a gift in the $100-200 range for my friend in NY. We were planning to drive up to the party but it is too hard with a 10 week old. They live in a 2 bedroom apartment in Manhattan so they don't have a ton of space.
Can you recommend something I can order online?
Can't be personalized as I don't have enough time. Amazon strongly preferred.

How about a gift card for an activity. My DD just turned one and one of our favorite gofts was a year pass to the local aquarium.

I'd look into getting them the wildlife conservation society pass that includes all the zoos and aquariums in NYC. That would be an amazing gift for a city family.

This is way less than your price range but someone got my son the Little Tykes swing and we were really happy it wasn't another toy and he loves that thing. It gets used all the time.

If they live in NYC, they may already have zoo membership... and maybe botanical garden membership. I'd focus on something she can use when older

I love activity/membership gifts and think it fits well with your criteria.
I agree. We got a membership to a local children's science museum and it's the best thing ever!!! It also always you to visit other museums for free or at a reduced price.
