Got the blood results
Beta 4,000 miu. Thyroid normal, all STD testes negative. the only problems they found were a very low iron & a very low sugar. They are definitely calling ti hypoglycemia & want to keep an eye on it. Also I am taking 65 mgs of Iron once a day. This should do wonders for my constipation
I was so relieved to hear that the Beta levels were good! Now for the sono on Nov 2nd & then all will be revealed

great news!!!
ahhhhh the iron pills, for me the first week was terrible, couldnt go too well. I eat a ton of fiber and walah all better.

My GYN did not request that I do another blood test, and I have seen alot of you guys were required to do one right after your first? Should I call & ask for another?

Your beta is so high that they probably feel vconfident this is a healthy pregnancy so you will not need two beta tests

I never had another one to confirm.
They will be able to see the "baby" when you have your first sonogram in a few weeks.
The reason why people get retested is if there is a question of viability or you are bleeding, or symptoms of a misscarriage, or testing after an IVF etc. A pregnancy without any problems that progresses normally can be detected with a blood test/urine test and then in a few weeks a sac and a heartbeat can be seen on ultrasound.
